Admissions



GCCS hosts several information sessions for prospective families each year. Applications for admission are available at these sessions. For enrollment during the 2008-2009 school year, we are holding parent information sessions on the following dates:

• Saturday, January 26, 2008 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. OR 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. (Come to either session).
• Wednesday, February 6, 2008 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

The information sessions are tentatively scheduled to be held in the Eisenhart Auditorium on the RMSC campus. Registration is not necessary for the parent information sessions.

Applications for admission are due at the conclusion of the parent information session on Wednesday, February 6, 2008.

Our lottery for admission will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Gannett School Computer Lab, which is located in the GCCS school building on the second floor. Parents of applicants are welcome to attend the lottery.

During the lottery, residents of the City School District are drawn first and suburban residents are drawn next. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of spaces available, children are placed on a waiting list in the order in which their names are drawn. Siblings are given preference, and are enrolled as space allows.

We have scheduled a student-led tour of the school so that prospective parents may see us in action. The date of the tour is:

• Tuesday, February 12, 2008, 8:30 a.m.

Families will be notified of their enrollment status in mid February. Enrollment acceptance is due in the School's main office by Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 3:00 p.m.

Using our waiting list, we fill openings throughout the spring and summer and during the school year.
