Steve Lee-Davis

Classroom Teacher

Steve Lee-Davis moved to Rochester from Massachusetts in 2006 with eight years of classroom experience in a variety of educational settings from inner-city public schools to a private boarding school. His undergraduate degree is from Goddard College. He also has a Master's Degree in Art Education from Massachusetts College of Art with a focus in illustration. Prior to joining the ranks of teachers he worked as a manager at a bookstore and a graphic designer.

Outside of teaching, Steve enjoys camping with his wife and two daughters, playing disk-golf, painting, and good books.

Jenny Elahi

Classroom Teacher

Jenny earned an undergraduate degree in fine art from San Diego State University. After school, and returning to Rochester, she helped run a family-owned hydroponic greenhouse business. While practicing sustainable agriculture, she designed and taught many community education classes for young children. Jenny received her Masters degree in Inclusive Early Childhood Education from Nazareth College, and has been teaching young learners ever since. She taught preschool in several Rochester schools for eight years, and looks forward to teaching Kindergarten during her fourth year at GCCS. Jenny is inspired by the ideas, questions, and creativity of young children and believes in their ability to solve problems and in their capacity to care.

Jenny enjoys taking on new challenges from marathon running to learning to play the fiddle. When she is not in the classroom, she can be found running near the beaches of Lake Ontario, watching her daughters compete in swim meets, or browsing in used book stores. In her quiet time, she paints, or reads, but most of all enjoys laughing with her husband and two daughters.
