Haste Makes Waste
SPRING, 2006-2007
This expedition began with an examination of hazardous waste, groundwater, and soil contamination. The expedition focused on three brownfield sites in Rochester, each in a different stage of the redevelopment process. Students examined the history of the properties, analyzed the results of government testing, considered redevelopment constraints, and developed a clean-up plan. They then gathered input from neighborhood associations and created redevelopment proposals for the brownfields.
