Volunteer Opportunities



Parent volunteers are welcome at GCCS. Parents are very involved in the life of our school. They chaperone fieldwork, assist with class projects, work with small groups and individuals on reading and writing, do light carpentry and maintenance, and support teachers with clerical tasks.

Three Saturday Parent Work Days have been scheduled for the year. Parents work any number of hours from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. cleaning and organizing classrooms. Babysitting is available. Please bring buckets and rags if you have them. This year's dates are:

• Saturday, November 3, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
• Saturday, January 26, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
• Saturday, April 5, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Most GCCS volunteer opportunities are coordinated through our Room Parents. Please call the room parent for your child's grade level:
