Discovering the Genesee Vol. 1 (Third Grade, Spring, 2002). A picture book with information about the economic and natural impact of the Genesee River on towns along its banks.
Discovering the Genesee Vol. 2 (Fourth Grade, Fall, 2003). A picture book with information about the geology of the Genesee River and the earth's forces that contribute to its continually changing shape.
The Emancipator (Fourth Grade, Winter, 2004) and Portraits of Rochester (Fourth Grade, Spring, 2003). The Emancipator is a student-created newspaper that chronicles significant people and events in the abolitionist and women's rights movements. Portraits of Rochester is a student-created newpaper about people who have helped shape Rochester over the last 50 years.
Every Picture Tells a Story (First Grade, Winter, 2007). A photojournal documenting important city infrastructures that make it possible for people to live in modern cities - roads, bridges, water, sewage, and electricity.
First Come the Eggs (Third Grade, Fall, 2005). A children's picture book about the "father of fish culture," Rochesterian Seth Green. Features nonfiction text and exquiste student paintings of scenes from Seth Green's life.
The Flower City Atlas (Third Grade, Spring, 2007). An atlas/almanac chronicling the development of Rochester through time. Features student-made maps and drawings, historic images, student writing, and photographs.
From Slavery to Freedom (Fifth Grade, Fall, 2004). A children's guide created by children for elementary-aged visitors to the RMSC's Frederick Douglass exhibit.
Leaving Traces (Fourth Grade, Winter, 2006). An archaeology magazine researched, written, and illustrated by fourth grade students. Includes information about
early humans and how archaeologists use artifacts and other evidence to understand the lives of earth's earliest people.
Revitalize Rochester (Sixth Grade, Spring, 2006). After traveling to four North American cities with thriving downtown waterways, sixth graders wrote and presented this report to the Mayor of Rochester. The report evaluates the merits of a current proposal to re-water the Erie Canal in downtown Rochester based on students' findings in the four cities they visited.
Rock on Rock-chester (5th Grade, Fall, 2003). A field guide to local geologic destinations. Features information about geologic processes that continually shape the earth.
Stone-Tolan House Coloring Book (Second Grade, Spring 2002). This coloring book about one of Monroe County's oldest structures was created by students for the Landmark Society of Rochester.
Back on the Misty Track of Time Music CD (Whole School, Spring, 2003). This professionally-produced cd features musical favorites from the previous two years' expeditions, as well as favorites we sing during morning meetings, community circle, and transitions.

When in Doubt, Sing! (Whole School, Spring 2007).
Recipe for Rochester (Second Grade, Spring 2008). This recipe book contains student writing on the "ingredients" that went into the formation of Rochester, NY, including the early flour milling industry. Each student brought in a bread recipe from home to contribute to the book. The handmade paper, stitching, and sketching that appear in the book are from the students' work in Art.
