Teaching experience and/or professional learning which are consistent with our progressive, project-based educational philosophy. Strong academic background in early childhood education, reading, social sciences, math and/or science. Knowledge of skills in a wide range of pedagogies. Strong desire to teach in a demanding, child-centered program with students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to take risks, collaborate, work flexibly, and demonstrate initiative. Willingness to work as part of a professional community that is continually reflecting, learning, and improving. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Teaching Assistants Qualifications of teaching assistants include: High School Diploma required. Associates Degree preferred. At least two years’ experience working with children. Strong desire to teach in a demanding, child-centered program with students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to collaborate, work flexibly, and demonstrate initiative.
