Part-time AV Media Specialist Position Responsibilities: Make equipment purchase recommendations Prepare all audiovisual equipment for use on exhibition nights and other important events Run lighting and sound booth when needed Arrange videotaping and archive videos Serve as liaison to RMSC AV Department for Auditorium-related issues Keep all school audio-visual equipment in good repair Assist Music Teacher during Community Circle Additional tasks as assigned Approximately 10 hours per week. Long-term Substitute Position – Classroom Teacher 2nd Grade Long-term Substitute Position – Classroom Teacher 4th Grade Accepting resumes and cover letters until October 11, 2019. Both long-term substitute positions start December 2019. Teacher Qualifications Qualifications of teachers include: Master’s Degree and Teacher Certification Required. Teaching experience and/or professional learning which are consistent with our progressive, project-based educational philosophy. Strong academic background in early childhood education, reading, social sciences, math and/or science. Knowledge of skills in a wide range of pedagogies. Strong desire to teach in a demanding, child-centered program with students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to take risks, collaborate, work flexibly, and demonstrate initiative. Willingness to work as part of a professional community that is continually reflecting, learning, and improving. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Teaching Assistants Qualifications of teaching assistants include: High School Diploma required. Associates Degree preferred. At least two years’ experience working with children. Strong desire to teach in a demanding, child-centered program with students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to collaborate, work flexibly, and demonstrate initiative. Willingness to work as part of a professional community that is continually reflecting, learning, and improving. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
